Nicolet College community meetings in
Minocqua, Mercer designed to gather public input

 

Residents from the greater Lakeland and Mercer areas are invited to Nicolet College Community Meetings Monday, May 19, in Mercer and Tuesday, May 20, in Minocqua. Both will include conversation about the college and ways Nicolet can work with local partners to strengthen learning opportunities in the area.

The meeting in the Lakeland area will take place at the Rusty Putter, 10080 Hwy. 70, Minocqua. The Mercer meeting will be held at the Mercer Community Building. Both meetings will start with a light breakfast at 8:30 a.m. followed by small group conversation from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

“Most importantly, I’d like to hear from people about ways Nicolet can continue working with local residents, businesses, and institutions to improve educational offerings in the area,” said Nicolet College President Adrian Lorbetske, who will lead the meetings.

Nicolet regularly gets community feedback from academic program advisory groups, community leaders, business and industry contacts, K-12 education professionals, and others. The upcoming meetings are designed to get additional input from those sources as well as from the general public.

The Nicolet College District includes all of Oneida, Vilas and Forest counties, and portions of Lincoln, Langlade, and Iron counties.
