Nicolet College - Fall Session to start for life-long learning retirees
Nicolet College's LIR filled with
learning opportunities for retirees
Northwoods retirees interested in life-long learning have dozens of different offerings to pick from in the Nicolet College Learning in Retirement upcoming Fall Session.
The diverse range of topics include numerous nature study and outdoor offerings, a presentation by an engineer who worked on the Apollo Project; several arts offerings that include theatre, music, literature, film and a visit to the popular Birds in Art exhibit in Wausau; a travelogue on Antarctica; Wisconsin Wines and Wineries, along with many others.
Classes start Sept. 9 and run through mid-December. Classes will be held in Rhinelander, Eagle River, Tomahawk, Three Lakes, and Crandon.
Some classes meet just once, others once a week for several weeks. The Fall Session also includes several social events which include the Fall Kick-Off, a Packer Party and a Holiday Party.
An annual membership is $35. Members can take as many or as few classes as they desire. There are no tests or grades in any class - only learning just for the fun of it.
