Nicolet College - UWGB's Bachelor's Degree ino session Aug. 13

Info session August 13 on earning
UW bachelor's degrees through Nicolet College

Area residents looking to earn a University of Wisconsin bachelor's degree while living in the Northwoods now have a new, flexible option to do so thanks to a recent partnership between Nicolet College and UW-Green Bay.

People interested in exploring this opportunity are invited to learn more at an information session at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 13, in University Transfer Center Room 202 on Nicolet's Rhinelander campus.

Under the partnership, anyone with a two-year associate degree from Nicolet can enroll at UW-Green Bay and complete a bachelor's largely with online classes and UW-Green Bay courses held on Nicolet's Rhinelander campus. Occasionally, students will have to travel to Green Bay, usually on a weekend, for a class.

"This opportunity is open to all Nicolet graduates who have earned an associate degree from the college," said Nicolet President Adrian Lorbetske. "They could have earned the degree 30 years ago, this year, or will do so at some point in the future. If they want to earn a bachelor's degree, they can transfer to UW-Green Bay as a junior and complete the four-year degree while living in the Northwoods."

The arrangement applies to graduates from Nicolet's University Transfer Program as well as the numerous occupational associate degrees the college offers.
UW-Green Bay courses at Nicolet will start this fall with a biology class that combines online learning and Saturday classes.
