550 to graduate from Nicolet; ceremonies May 16, 17

About 550 students are expected to graduate from Nicolet College this spring, with many of these students participating in commencement ceremonies Saturday and Sunday, May 16 and 17.

In all, 376 students are expected to earn an associate degree, diploma or certificate from the college. Graduation ceremonies for these students are scheduled for 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., Saturday, May 16, in the Nicolet College Theatre. State Senator Jim Holperin will deliver the commencement address.

More than 170 students - nearly a record - are expected to receive a High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) or a General Education Development (GED) diploma through the college's Academic Success Department. Ceremonies for these students will be held at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, May 17, at Holiday Acres Resort just east of Rhinelander.
