Home buyers invited to Open House
May 16, 17 at Nicolet College
Nicolet College carpentry students and staff will hold an open house May 16 and 17
for potential home buyers to view the recently completed home that is now for sale.
The three-bedroom, two-full-bath home will be sold through a bidding process.
The upcoming open house will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 16 and 17, at the construction site, located along Day Care Drive on Nicolet's Rhinelander campus. The site is adjacent to the college's Renewable Energy Center. Look for the 120-foot-tall wind turbine.
"The Open House will give people the chance to view the quality construction that went into building the home," said Jeff Labs, Nicolet Carpentry instructor. "The students did a great job and their craftsmanship and attention to detail really shows."
The highly-energy-efficient home was constructed using numerous green building materials and construction methods.
Other details of the home include: 1,574 square feet of living space; laundry room; fireplace; maple hardwood floors, cabinetry, doors and trim; and a master bedroom and bath complete with a whirlpool tub.
Labs will also be available at the open house to talk with any prospective students about enrolling in the one-year Carpentry program.
Nicolet's Rhinelander campus is located along Hwy. G, one mile south of the city.
