Nicolet College - Build solid job skills with Nicolet classes that start Jan. 14

Nicolet College classes build solid job skills;
semester starts Jan. 14

Northwoods residents looking to train for a new career or advance in their current field are encouraged to enroll in Nicolet College classes that start in January.

“Earning a college degree is a great way for individuals to build economic security for themselves and their families,” said Nicolet College President Elizabeth Burmaster. “The more job skills individuals have, the more valuable they will be to current and future employers.”

Classes start Thursday, Jan. 14.

Nicolet offers 65 different programs that result in a two-year associate degree, diploma, short-term certificate, or completion of an apprenticeship in the trades. Students interested in earning a bachelor’s degree can also pick from a variety of University Transfer Liberal Arts classes that start in January.

To accommodate busy schedules, Nicolet also offers numerous online classes to help students juggle family, work, and college. “The flexibility online classes offer has really opened the door to college for many, many students,” Burmaster added. “There are still tests and deadlines, but students decide when they do the coursework. They can do it in the middle of the morning or the middle of the night.”

Nicolet also has career and academic counselors on staff to help students determine what career and college degree is right for them. Financial aid is also available.

For more information, students are encouraged to visit or call the Nicolet College Welcome Center at (715) 365-4493, 1-800-544-3039, ext. 4493, TTY (715) 365-4558.
