workshops in area communities
Anyone thinking about starting a business but is unsure exactly how to begin is invited to attend a free business start-up workshop schedule for Crandon, Minocqua, Tomahawk and Rhinelander.
The introductory workshop, sponsored by Nicolet College, is free and open to the public.
Workshop topics will focus on the planning process for starting a business, where to go for help, establishing a personal vision, determining if you are ready to go into business for yourself, the traits of successful entrepreneurs, and much more. The same material will be covered at each location.

All workshops will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The workshop in Crandon will be held Monday, Feb. 15, at the Crandon Public Library, 110 W. Polk St. Other workshops will be held Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the MHLT Elementary School, 7450 Titus Drive, Minocqua; Monday, Feb. 22, at the River Valley Bank in Tomahawk, 1218 N. 4th St.; and Wednesday, Feb. 24, at the Northern Advantage Job Center, 100 W. Keenan St. in Rhinelander.
