Brown, Wozniczka honored
with Nicolet College Board Awards
The Nicolet College Board of Trustees has selected Jim Brown and Carol Wozniczka as recipients of the prestigious 2010 Board Awards.
Brown, second from left, is vice president of instruction at Nicolet. “Jim’s commitment to student and staff success is evident in his day-to-day work, and he leads with honesty, integrity, and genuine concern for others,” wrote Nicolet employees Don Roberts and Sandy Bishop in their joint nomination of Brown, who has served at Nicolet for 10 years. He is credited with advancing numerous academic initiatives on campus, economic development in the region, and serving on several boards of area community organizations.
Wozniczka, third from left, has worked at Nicolet for 28 years and is the administrative assistant for the PK-16 Pathways department. A major part of her job is to help coordinate numerous learning and professional development events that bring several hundred middle and high school students, teachers and counselors to campus every year. “Carol is one of the most patient, organized and efficient people I know, and does it all with great sense of humor. She is always my go-to person,” wrote Nancy Herbison, Tomahawk High School Youth Options and School to Work Coordinator.
