Culinary Arts students at Nicolet College now have a smooth path to a bachelor’s degree thanks to a new partnership between Nicolet and the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Under the agreement, students who earn Nicolet’s two-year Culinary Arts associate degree can now transfer up to 60 Nicolet credits to UW-Stout. These credits will then be applied to UW-Stout’s Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management bachelor’s degree.
“Creating partnerships like this with four-year colleges and universities are a priority for Nicolet,” said Nicolet President Elizabeth Burmaster. “These types of transfer agreements create many more opportunities and benefits for our students, both personally and professionally.”
National studies show that people with bachelor’s degrees make, on average, $1 million more over the course of their lifetimes compared to those with only a high school diploma.
Nicolet students transferring to UW-Stout must have earned a grade point average of at least 2.5 while at Nicolet. Transferring students will complete the Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management bachelor’s degree on UW-Stout’s Menominee campus.
