Posted Friday, Oct. 15
A ghoulish ensemble of creatures will take over a building in downtown Rhinelander this Halloween when the Nicolet Players and Downtown Rhinelander, Inc., present the Fright Factory Haunted House Oct. 21 to 24 and again Oct. 28 to 31.
So just how scary will the Fright Factory be?
“I can guarantee that there will be people who will not be able to make it all the way through,” said Jim Nuttall, Nicolet College theatre director. “It’s going to be that intense.”
Tickets will be $6 or $5 with a non-perishable food item. Tickets will only be sold during hours of operation at the haunted house, located at 28 S. Stevens St., across from the downtown McDonalds.
The Fright Factory will be open from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 21 to 24; and 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 28 to 31.
A low-scare version for the faint of heart will be held Thursday, Oct. 28. A no-scare day for kids and families will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 30. Cost for the no-scare day will be $3. This will be held in conjunction with the free trick or treating downtown from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. that same day.
All other performances are not recommended for children younger than 10 and all children younger than 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Profits from the event will go to Downtown Rhinelander, Inc., and the Nicolet College Foundation.
