Long-time Minocqua restaurateur Heinz Fischer recently donated $26,500 to Nicolet College to support Culinary Arts student scholarships at the college and purchase equipment for the kitchen.
Fischer is an institution in the Wisconsin restaurant business, holding leadership positions in the Wisconsin Restaurant Association and serving as the founder and first president of the association’s Education Foundation. His support of Nicolet College also goes back more than 20 years.
“Generous donations such as this will benefit Nicolet Culinary Arts graduates for years to come,” said Nicolet College President Elizabeth Burmaster. “This is truly a testament to Heinz Fischer’s dedication to the restaurant industry and to the young professionals entering the field.”
