Ice Fishing Jamboree Jan. 30
The Nicolet College Land Surveying Club is holding its 7th Annual Ice Fishing Jamboree and Raffle, Saturday, Jan. 30 on Lake Julia just south of Rhinelander.
Cash prizes will be awarded for the first, second, and third largest walleye, northern, bluegill, perch, and crappie caught that day between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Lake Julia.
Raffle prizes include a Strikemaster Power Auger for first place, an Aqua-Vu fish locater for second, and a Garmin handheld GPS for third. Numerous other raffle prizes will also be awarded. The raffles will begin shortly after 2 p.m.
Cost to enter the Jamboree is $5 per person. Raffle tickets are $1 a piece or six for $5. To purchase Jamboree or raffle tickets, contact Devon Vanden Heuvel at (715) 365-4521. Jamboree Tickets may be purchased at Mel’s Trading Post, The Fishing Hole or Suess’ Northside Beer, Bait, & Liquor Store. They may also be purchased at the Jamboree starting at 6 a.m. on the day of the jamboree.
Jamboree headquarters will be held in front of the Nicolet College Learning Resources Center on Lake Julia.
Proceeds from the event will go to help the Nicolet College Land Surveying students attending the three-day Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors Institute in Green Bay.
