All area singers are invited to participate in the upcoming production of Handel’s The Messiah which will be performed by A Chorus of the Community in December.

The first rehearsal is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 4, at the Congregational UCC Church in Rhinelander. New and seasoned singers are urged to participate.

The performance for the public will take place at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 19, at the Rhinelander High School.

The community chorus first performed The Messiah in 1982 and then intermittently throughout the 1980s. Written in just 24 days in 1741 by George Fredrick Handel, the enduring, centuries-old composition is a true classic for audiences and performers alike. Copies of the oratorio will be available for purchase at the first rehearsal.
