Nicolet College - Violinist Schubert to perform Sunday


 

Classical violinist Robert Schubert
to perform Sept. 19 at Nicolet

 

The virtuoso violinist and music instructor Robert Schubert will give a solo performance in the Nicolet College Theatre on the Rhinelander campus on Sunday, Sept. 19, at 2 p.m.

Robert Schubert’s accomplishments as a performer include a New York debut at Carnegie Recital Hall, and recitals at the Library and Museum of the Performing Arts in Lincoln Center, Marshall University, Morehead State University and the University of Mississippi. Schubert was featured on the “Live from the Elvehjem” broadcast on Wisconsin Public Radio. He has given seven performances at the Rhinelander Historical Museum.

A dedicated music educator for more than 30 years, Schubert currently teaches at his home studio in Schofield, at Keynote School of Music in Shawano, and at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Rhinelander. He has served as artist/instructor in several north-central Wisconsin music academies and has directed youth orchestras and elementary ensembles. Schubert also teaches master classes, seminars and gives demonstrations.
