positions at Nicolet College
Nicolet College has filled two open vice president positions with seasoned professionals, announced Elizabeth Burmaster, Nicolet College president.
Kenneth Urban will start his new duties as Vice President of Teaching, Learning and Student Success on June 28.
Roxanne Lutgen will start her duties as Vice President of Finance and College Operations on June 7.
“We are very fortunate to have such talented individuals join the staff of Nicolet College,” Burmaster said. “Both have the extensive experience in their fields and the skills necessary to build on the Nicolet tradition as a center of excellence.”
Urban comes to Nicolet from Mid-State Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids where he served as Director of College Advancement for the past six years. During this time he directed traditional, online and hybrid curriculum development; student learning assessment; continuous improvement activities; and college accreditation. Before that he was the Business Division Associate Dean at Mid-State for four years. He has also served as a Systems Appraiser and On-site Visitor for the Higher Learning Commission, a national organization that evaluates colleges and awards accreditation when a variety of standards are met. Urban has also been an Information Systems and Technology Manager; Marketing Manager, and Senior Research Scientist.
Kenneth Urban holds a Doctor in Education, Ed.D., in Higher Education Leadership; a Master’s of Business Administration; and Master’s and Bachelor’s of Arts degrees in Psychology. At Nicolet he will serve as Nicolet’s Chief Academic Officer and be responsible for the development and assessment of learning-centered initiatives, instructional program offerings, and curriculum development. He will also oversee admissions, recruitment, advising, counseling, disability services, and multicultural services.
Roxanne Lutgen comes to Nicolet from her position as Vice President and Corporate Reporting Manager at Associated Banc-Corporation, Green Bay. In that role she was responsible for external, internal, and regulatory financial reporting, along with many other duties. Before that she was a Senior Accountant at Wipfli, LLP, for six years, working with technical colleges, school districts, municipalities, health care providers, financial institutions, casinos and tribes. She also has 18 years of experience in Information Technology Management.
She holds a Master’s of Business Administration, Accounting Concentration; a Bachelor’s of Business Administration; as well as professional certifications which include Certified Public Accountant and Certified Information Systems Auditor.
At Nicolet Lutgen will oversee business operations, financial aid, foundation, human resources, information technology, facilities, and building projects.
