Brittany Hazelquist of Rhinelander was recently selected as Nicolet College’s 2011 Student Ambassador, the highest honor the college bestows upon a student. As ambassador, Hazelquist will work to promote Nicolet and help inform residents of the opportunities Nicolet has available to them and their communities.

Ambassador Brittany Hazelquist“All four faculty members who nominated Brittany praised her talent and ‘can-do’ attitude toward her studies,” said Julie Morgan, Nicolet Student Life coordinator and Ambassador program organizer. “She has a genuine appreciation for the depth and quality of education that students can receive at Nicolet, making her a great choice for Student Ambassador.”

The Student Ambassador program is a statewide program of the Wisconsin Technical College System. One student from each of the state’s 16 technical colleges is selected for the honor based on high academic achievement, community involvement, leadership, and a commitment to higher education.

Hazelquist is a student in Nicolet’s Graphic Design associate degree program. After graduating from Nicolet she plans on transferring to a four-year university to earn a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design.
