The Creative Arts Series at Nicolet College will feature four free events in coming weeks, including a presentation by a culinary grill master and three art exhibits that will feature a wide variety of works.
Art Exhibit: Art and Graphic Design Student Exhibit
Now through May 15
This annual exhibit features the work of students completing a graphic design degree at Nicolet College. Portfolios showcase an array of original design work in print and digital media. The accompanying film festival showcases student video and motion graphic design work. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Cooking with Kevin – Grill Gusto

Nicolet Culinary Arts instructor Kevin Brown will showcase his own talents as well as those of Culinary Arts students in this entertaining, taste bud-tantalizing cooking demonstration. This time the theme is on summer grilling. Come prepared to get beyond burgers and get innovative by preparing artful dishes that will dazzle family and guests alike.
Art Exhibit: Betsy Popp and Rick Eyre

Nicolet Art Gallery, Learning Resources Center
Townsend artist and educator Betsy Popp and Wausau photographer Rick Eyre team up to exhibit an exhilarating range of work reflecting each artist’s extensive travels. Popp’s work includes wood sculpture, pastel, pencil drawing, acrylics, watercolor, and oil. Eyre’s lens takes in landscapes, wildlife, abandoned mill towns and Greek Byzantine churches. A reception to meet the artists will be held at 7 p.m., Saturday, May 28, in the gallery. Regular gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Art Exhibit: Wisconsin Regional Art Program (WRAP)
June 17 to July 9
Nicolet Art Gallery
This exhibit and workshop, co-sponsored by the Wisconsin Regional Art Program (WRAP), encourages creative growth through noncompetitive art shows held in communities across Wisconsin. Meritorious work is selected for the annual State Art Exhibit in Madison. An art workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, July 9, in the art gallery. Regular gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
