Nicolet to offer Career Counseling Workshops

Nicolet College is holding Career Counseling Workshops on the Rhinelander campus to help individuals select the education and career path that is best suited for them.

One workshop will run on consecutive Wednesdays, Jan. 5 to 12. The Jan. 5 session will run from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and the Jan. 12 session from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The second workshop will run on consecutive Thursdays, Jan. 6 and 13. The Jan. 6 session will run from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. and the Jan. 13 session from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

All sessions will be held in room 106 of the University Transfer Center and participants must attend either both Wednesday sessions or both Thursday sessions to complete the workshop.

Through in-depth assessment, lecture and discussion, participants will gain information about their individual interests and personality traits that will help them make informed decisions and plan their career/educational goals. Two well recognized career assessment tools, the Myers-Brigs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Career Assessment Inventory (CAI), will be used in this workshop. Upon successful completion of the workshop, an optional, individualized session with a career counselor is available.

Other upcoming two-session Career Workshops include:

- Tuesday Jan. 18, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Tuesday Jan. 25 from 10 a.m. to noon in room 201 of the Tamarack Center on the Rhinelander campus;

- Tuesday, Feb. 1, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Tuesday Feb. 8 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in room 201 of the Tamarack Center on the Rhinelander campus;

- Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday, March 1, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in room 106 of the University Transfer Center on the Rhinelander campus;

A workshop will also be held at Nicolet's Lakeland Center in Minocqua. That one will be held Wednesday, March 16 from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesday, March 23, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
