Three trustees selected
for Nicolet College Board
Posted May 11, 2011
One incumbent and two new members were recently selected to fill three-year terms on the Nicolet College Board of Trustees.
Amy Jacobs, Elcho, was reappointed and David Hintz, Three Lakes, and Deanna Pierpont, Mercer, were chosen as new members to the nine-member board.
Jacobs is a 25-year veteran of the Elcho School District, working as a teacher and guidance counselor. She was first appointed to the board in 2007.
Hintz is retired, having worked for 31 years as an executive with the ExxonMobil Corporation. He currently serves as a supervisor and second vice chairman on the Oneida County Board.
Pierpont is treasurer of the Mercer School Board and manager at the Tahoe Lynx Golf Course in Mercer.
The Wisconsin Technical College System Board recently approved the appointments. All three will be sworn in at the July meeting of the Nicolet College Board of Trustees.
Appointments to the Nicolet College Board of Trustees are made by the county board chairpersons from Nicolet district counties, which include all of Oneida, Vilas and Forest counties and portions of Lincoln, Langlade and Iron counties.
State guidelines dictate that technical college boards must have employers, employees, a K-12 school superintendent, an elected government or school board member, and at-large members. There must also be a balance of male, female and minority representation on the board.
