Nicolet students to hold 2nd Annual Special Olympics

The Business Professionals of America (BPA) student club at Nicolet College will be holding a fundraiser for Special Olympics Sunday, March 4, from noon to 4 p.m. at Hodag Lanes in Rhinelander.
The event will include raffles and bowling for $5 per person with all of the money raised staying in the Special Olympics local region, which includes Oneida, Vilas, Forest, Lincoln and Langlade counties. Children 5 and younger can bowl for free.
BPA students are coordinating the event as part of a learning project that combines classroom instruction and community involvement.
"Service learning projects such as this are an important part of a Nicolet education," said Jolene Johnson Van Den Elzen, Business Technology instructor and BPA advisor. "It combines classroom learning with a very worthy community cause."
