Anyone interested in upgrading their job skills, training for a new career, or starting on a bachelor's degree is encouraged to enroll in Fall Semester classes at Nicolet College.

"Having a college credential and the higher level of job skills that come along with it is one of the best ways to get ahead in life," said Nicolet College President Elizabeth Burmaster. "At Nicolet, we work closely with area employers in a wide variety of different fields to ensure that the skills taught in our labs and classrooms are the exact skills needed in the workplace."

In recent years the college has concentrated on creating more options for students who need to juggle family and job responsibilities. "That increased level of flexibility, whether it's through online or evening classes, has opened the door to a college education for many students," Burmaster added.

Fall Semester classes start Tuesday, Sept. 4.

Nicolet offers more than 70 different associate degrees, diplomas and certificates along with a University Transfer Liberal Arts program where students complete the first two years of a bachelor's degree.

New academic offerings recently added include a Geographic Information Systems associate degree, two new Dental programs, and numerous certificates in Manufacturing, Information Technology, Technical Communication, and an evening accelerated Supervisory Management certificate.

Thanks to the remodeling of the University Transfer Center which is taking place this summer, students in the Transfer program will learn in new science labs and classrooms when they begin the Fall Semester.

"The University Transfer Liberal Arts program is the largest program at Nicolet," Burmaster noted. "We are very excited to be able to offer these students such high quality learning facilities as they begin their journey to a bachelor's degree."
